| About Norvasc |
Norvasc is a long-acting calcium channel blocker (CCB), used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain (angina).
Norvasc works by relaxing blood vessels and helping blood flow more easily. This helps lower blood pressure and reduce angina pain.
|
| Proper Norvasc Usage |
Take exactly as you were directed. Generally, you should take Norvasc once a day, with or without food. You can take Norvasc with most drinks, including grapefruit juice.
Try to take your dose at the same time each day, for example, after breakfast or at bedtime.
|
| Proper Norvasc Storage |
Store at room temp., in a dry place.
|
| Missed Norvasc Dosge |
If you miss a dose, you should take NORVASC as soon as you remember, unless it has been more than 12 hours since you missed your dose. If it has been more than 12 hours, just wait and take the next dose at your regular time. Avoid taking two doses at the same time or closely together.

| Norvasc's Side Effects |
The most common side effects of Norvasc are swelling in the feet or ankles, headache, feeling tired, or feeling dizzy. If you experience any of these and they do not go away by themselves, or you experience a more bothersome effect, consult a physicain as soon as possible. For a list of all possible side effects, see the product leaflet (available online at the official Norvasc website).

People allergic to the active ingredient in Norvasc (amlodipine) cannot use Norvasc.
Breast-feeding women should not use Norvasc, as it is not known whether Norvasc passes into breast-milk, and it is possible that Norvasc would harm the nursing baby.
Before you take Norvasc, tell your physicain about any medical condition you have and any drugs you may be taking, including prescription and non-prescription medications.
Do not take more than one dose of Norvasc at a time. If you accidentally take more than you were directed, call a physicain immediately.
