Provigil Information
Provigil is an analeptic drug that is generally used for the treatment of various medical conditions associated with obstructive sleep apnea. Among these are narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, and excessive daytime sleepiness. The drug works by stimulating the release of monoamines in a patient's synaptic terminals, thus promoting wakefulness during the day. Provigil is sold in 100 mg and 200 mg tablets for oral administration, and the recommended dosage is 200 mg once daily (preferably in the morning).

Among the most common side effects experienced by users of Provigil include headache, back pain, flu syndrome, chest pain, chills, palpitation, hypertension, nausea, and diarrhea. In some cases, patients can also become addicted and dependent.
